Reactor Automation Upgrade
CSMI provided controls engineering services as required for electrical design and software development reactor system.
A complete electrical controls system was designed to automate the Reactor system. An electrical package was
developed and used to fabricate the control panel. CSMI installed devices and instruments to the control system. A PLC
program using RS-Logix 5000 and an HMI application using RS-View was developed to automate the process. Finally,
the system will be site commissioned prior to production startup.
Utility Controls
CSMI provided the controls required for the automation of Utilities as based on transmitted P&IDs.
A complete electrical controls system was designed to automate the Utilities. An electrical package was developed and
used to fabricate the control panel and purchase a new MCC, installed devices and instruments to the control system.
A PLC program using RS-Logix 5000 and an HMI application using RS-View was developed to automate the process. The
system was site commissioned prior to production startup.
50 Gallon Colloidal Silica Reactor
CSMI provided services to complete the successful implementation of controls for 50 Gallon Colloidal Batch Reactor.
The controls system design for this project was to accomplish functionality described in documents transmitted to CSMI.
The system utilized similar design of controls systems to those utilized in the pilot plant (Allen-Bradley hardware) but the
system did not require an Ex rating. Specific equipment to be installed included an Allen-Bradley Controls System with
CompactLogix and Wonderware.
Batch Attack Electrical Area Classification
The objective of this project was to provide an Electrical Area Classification (EAC) Report for the Batch Attack Area.
Rutile Electrical Area Classification Update
The objective was to update the Rutile Electrical Area Classification (EAC) Report.
The proposed update of the EAC resulted in revising the existing document to reflect:
- Any classified location addition, change, or deletion.
- Any classified substance addition, change, or deletion
- BA complete area review and re-mapping.
Electrical Distribution Upgrade Scope Modifications
The modification of scope of work for Electrical Distribution Upgrade Project.
CSMI scope of work under this proposal involved engineering design services as required to update project scope of
work to meet requirements needed for approval of Electrical Distribution Upgrade Project.
